All Saints Youth Ministry relies on support from a variety of folks within the parish. Volunteers can teach Sunday School, be present at Youth Group, serve as Nursery Attendants, help lead events for young children, and so on. Each volunteer brings a unique perspective, approach, and set of skills--there's no single type of volunteer!
While Youth Group students may help adult leaders supervise parish events for young children (such as Kids' Day In), in order to serve as a Nursery Attendant or Sunday School teacher, volunteers must be at least 14 years old with proper training and qualifications. Only those over the age of 18 and graduated from high school may serve as volunteers for Youth Group, Confirmation, and other Youth Group specific events at the parish & local level. Those wishing to volunteer for diocesan events will have to meet standards for each given event.
Adults wishing to serve as volunteers for Youth Group, Confirmation, and other Youth Group specific events must be baptized Christians, be willing to complete Abuse Prevention Training Modules set out by the Diocese of Fond du Lac, and allow the Director of Youth Ministry and/or Rector to do a background check. Any adult refusing to these terms will not be allowed to serve as an adult volunteer in Youth Ministry at All Saints.
